The Chicago Plan Commission has approved a mixed-use development located at 525 S Wabash Avenue in The Loop. The proposal is sited on a partial-block lot bound by E Congress Parkway, S Wabash Avenue, and E Harrison Street, and would replace an existing parking garage and parking lot. Eterra Plus LLC is in charge of the development.
The Chicago Plan Commission has approved a two-tower proposed mixed-use development located at 601 W Monroe Street in West Loop Gate. Located on a rectangular lot, the site sits along W Monroe Street, spanning the entire width of the block from S Jefferson Street to S Desplaines Street. Currently a surface parking lot, the parcel is directly adjacent to Heritage Green Park. Pacific Reach Properties is the developer behind the proposal.
The Chicago Plan Commission has approved Halsted Pointe, a multi-phase development at 901 N Halsted Street in Goose Island. Planned for the site of the current Greyhound Bus facility, the project site is located at the southern tip of Goose Island. The property is bound by N Halsted Street to the west, W Hooker Street to the north and the Chicago River to the south and east. Onni Group is the developer.
The Zoning Board of Appeals has approved a residential development at 3817 N Ashland Avenue in Lake View. Located along N Ashland Avenue, the site is bordered by alleyways to the south and east. A one-story restaurant building currently occupies the site, which is for sale by the owner. Mavrek Development is the developer behind the proposal.
The Community Development Commission has approved a supportive housing development located at 3346 W Carroll Avenue in East Garfield Park. Currently a vacant lot, the project site is an infill site along W Carroll Avenue, just off of N Homan Avenue. The property backs up to the westbound Metra tracks. Breakthrough Urban Ministries, a local nonprofit organization, will be developing the building.
