Site equipment is almost clear from the now-complete 10 & 30 S Wacker Drive, where owner Tishman Speyer has renovated the entrances of The Loop‘s 40-story CME Center.
Permits were recently issued for renovations and alterations at 6927 S Peoria Street, a two-story residential building in Englewood. The existing masonry structure contains two units as well as a basement. The property itself and the surrounding addresses are zoned for RT-4, indicating multi-unit townhomes with a maximum height of 38 feet.
The Commission on Chicago Landmarks (CCL) has approved a proposal to alter the façade of the Art Institute of Chicago at 111 S. Michigan Avenue in the Historic Michigan Boulevard District. The proposal comes from the Art Institute, looking to update the face of the original Allerton Building that fronts Michigan Avenue and the rest of the Loop.
Renovation permits were approved last month for The Hoxton, a 12-story hotel at 200 N Green Street in Fulton Market, West Loop. Located between W Lake Street and W Fulton St, the interior lot is three blocks east of the Morgan CTA L station, serviced by the Green and Pink Lines. Hospitality group Ennismore under the 200 Green Developer LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications, reporting $135,000 as the cost for the renovations.
