Redesign And Extension Approved For 130 N Franklin Street In The Loop

An extension has been granted and a redesign revealed for the mixed-use development at 130 N Franklin Street in The Loop. Located on the southwest corner with W Randolph Street, news of the proposal broke back in 2015 as a replacement of an existing empty lot along with a surface parking lot as well. Struggling to execute a tower on it, developer Tishman Speyer was granted an extension on their previous approval due to the last two years. The team at Tishman have been leading the efforts with local architecture firm Krueck Sexton Partners on all iterations of the design.

Exterior construction is now complete for a 13-story mixed-use building at 320 N Sangamon Street in West Loop. A joint effort by Tishman Speyer and Mark Goodman & Associates, the 270,000-square-foot project will house a mix of ground-level retail and office space on the above floors. Office floor plates will vary between 24,800 and 28,200 square feet, while stretching 13 feet from slab to slab.

The site lies at the intersection of N Sangamon Street and W Wayman Street in West Loop’s Fulton Market neighborhood. Nearby bus lines include Route 8 at Halsted & Lake, which is a six-minute walk to the southeast. Also nearby is the CTA L Morgan Station, a three-minute walk southwest.
