Exterior Wall Reaches Full Height at AMLI 808 in Near North Side

Exterior work has reached the top floor of AMLI 808, a 17-story mixed-use building located at 808 N Wells Street in Near North Side. Developed by AMLI, programming is set to include retail at ground level, as well as 318 apartments on the above floors. The new structure will stand 225 feet, replacing a former parking lot and sales center that was used for a previous iteration of the project.

City Club Apartments MDA Phase II Wraps Up Facade in The Loop

Final exterior touches are underway for City Club Apartments MDA Phase II, a seven-story mixed-use addition to the existing 24-story MDA Tower. Located at 60 E Benton Place in The Loop, this two-building complex is owned by City Club Apartments, whose plans for the new building involve ground-level retail and 81 apartments. These added residences will comprise of studios, one-bedrooms, and larger penthouses, bringing the total unit count for the complex to 271.

The Rosie

Cladding on The Rosie Nears Completion in Little Italy

Exterior work is nearly complete for The Rosie, a seven-story mixed-use building located at 1461 S Blue Island Avenue, near the southeast corner of Chicago’s Little Italy. Planned by CEDARst and Origin Investments, the project will host 202 apartments as well as 7,600 square feet of retail space. The project lies within in a federal opportunity zone, whereby the developers agree to build in an economically distressed vicinity in exchange for tax incentives. Seven of the on-site units will also be affordable, a figure that was approved prior to an updated housing requirement, whereby at least 20 percent of units must be affordable for new projects in the area.

Zoning Approved for Mixed-Use Development at 1623 N Halsted Street in Lincoln Park

The proposed zoning has been approved for a mixed-use, seven-story development at 1623 N Halsted Street on the border of Lincoln Park and Old Town. Located along N Halsted Street, the interior site is between W Concord Place and W Willow Street. The lot is directly north of the CTA Brown Line tracks and is a transit-served location. The immediate area consists of low-rise residential and mixed-use buildings, with a mix of office and restaurants at grade and residential units above. The new development will replace four existing buildings. JDL Development and Logan Ventures are in charge of the development.
