Updated Details Revealed For Phase One Of Haslted Pointe On Goose Island

Updated details have been revealed for the first phase of the Halsted Point development at 901 N Halsted Street on Goose Island. Replacing the long-standing Greyhound Bus facility which is being demolished on the southern end of the island, the new multi-tower project will sit near the upcoming permanent casino just two-blocks to the south. Canadian-based Onni Group is behind the proposal with local firms Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture and Hitchcock Design Group on the team.

Zoning Application Submitted for 420 N May Street in Fulton Market

A zoning application has been submitted for the mixed-use skyscraper at 420 N May Street in the West Loop. Located on the northwestern corner with W Kinzie Street directly across the street from the recently completed Fulton Labs, the tower would become the tallest building west of the Loop adding a new peak to the skyline. Plans were originally revealed late last year by Miami-based developer Crescent Heights, who also built NEMA in the South Loop, and is working with local-architecture firm HPA.

Photos Show Completed Demolition for 1200 W Fulton in Fulton Market

This week, YIMBY captured shots of the near-complete demolition at 1200 W Fulton Street in Fulton Market, set to give rise to a major new three-building development. The full-block plan will replace a parking lot and three existing one-story industrial buildings, delivering 1.5 million square feet of mixed-use space and designed by Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture (HPA). The developer, Fulton Street Companies, is spearheading the development alongside Waterton, a local landlord company, and Harrison Street Real Estate Capital.
