Cladding has begun installation for the five-story 1020 W Randolph Street in Fulton Market District. The commercial building will offer ground-floor retail and upper-level Class A offices, with L3 Capital as the developer. The building will have a 1,850-square-foot rooftop deck encased in amenities and 22,000 square feet of interior space with modern finishes, living walls, and warehouse-style windows.
The tower crane stump and installed foundations can be seen at 225 N Elizabeth Street, set to give way to a new 28-story, 314-foot building in Fulton Market District. Developer Sterling Bay and partnering private equity firm Ascentris are behind this mixed-use project, which will provide 350 new apartment units atop ground-level retail.
Construction on 920 N Wells Street has officially reached its peak, with the 21-story mixed-use building now topping out in Near North Side. JDL, the developer of nearby One Chicago, is also behind this current structure and its encompassing North Union development, one of Chicago’s largest single plans currently underway. The overall $1.3 billion project will span multiple blocks of land that had been sold by the nearby Moody Bible Institute.

This $1.3 billion, 8.1-acre mega-development will span multiple blocks of land once owned by the Moody Bible Institute.
Caisson work can be seen on the two adjacent sites at 868 N Wells Street and 232 W Chestnut Street, where developer JDL has planned the second and third installations to their North Union mega development. The scope of this larger $1.3 billion masterplan include more than 2.9 million square feet of space, 2,656 residences, an abundance of new commercial units, and 100,000 square feet of public areas.
