Street-Level Construction Is Underway At 2357 North Washtenaw Avenue In Logan Square

The second of two adjacent five-story Logan Square residential projects has begun construction at Washtenaw and Fullerton. A 15-unit building is underway at 2357 North Washtenaw Avenue, which sits right across the street from its sibling project at 2354 North Washtenaw, and it’s starting to see brickwork and concrete block set for the first floor. Wilmot Properties, as they are next door, is the general contractor and developer here.

Demolition Of 514 West Aldine Avenue In Lake View Clears Site For Four Residential Units

A demolition permit was issued on December 12 by the City of Chicago for the property located at 514 West Aldine Avenue in the Lake View neighborhood. With Land Enterprises as the demo contractor and Urban Edge Group as the property owner, the site will be cleared to make room for a new four-story, four-unit residential building. The lot is located mid-block between Lake Shore Drive to the east and Broadway to the west.

Construction Is Underway At 1701 West Grand In West Town

A new residential development at 1701 West Grand Avenue has begun construction in West Town. Located on the southwest corner of the intersection with Paulina Street, the project replaces vacant land most recently utilized as a used-car lot. It received a building permit from the City of Chicago on November 21, assigned to the address of 466 North Paulina Street.

Permits Issued For Mixed-Use Development At 1101 W Berwyn Avenue In Edgewater

Permits have been issued for the mixed-use development at 1101 W Berwyn Avenue on the southern end of Edgewater. Located on the corner with N Winthrop Avenue, in September we covered the project’s approval after a design change from its original proposal a while back. Since then there has been additional alterations.

City Council Approves Mixed-Use Development At 1747 West Grand Avenue In West Town

The Chicago City Council has approved the mixed-use development at 1747 W Grand Avenue in West Town. Sitting next to Publican Quality Bread near the intersection with N Wood Street, the new structure would join multiple other multi-unit buildings that have gone up nearby in recent years as the area continues to draw new residents.

28 Residences Potentially Coming To 1501 N Oakley Boulevard In Wicker Park

Schematic plans have been revealed for the potential residential development roughly at 1501 N Oakley Boulevard in Wicker Park. The project was recently announced by Alderman La Spata and will replace the large sports field behind the Josephinum Academy along W Le Moyne Street. The property is bound by an alley to the north and N Bell Avenue to the east.

Single-Family Construction Permitted On Former Church Parking Lot In Uptown

The City of Chicago has issued a new construction permit for a million-dollar-plus home at 4442 North Greenview Avenue in the Uptown neighborhood. Heritage Luxury Builders of Northfield is the developer of the home. The permit names Amazing City LLC as the general contractor, working on a design by Hanna Architects.

The Chicago City Council has approved the mixed-use development at 2754 W Chicago Avenue in West Town. Located on the corner with N California Avenue, the proposaled structure will replace a vacant lot which previously held a two-story building. Efforts for the project are being led by Sustainabuild LLC who has worked on various structures nearby.

Steady Progress Continues On The Trieuth At Lincoln Square

Construction progress continues on the residential development known as The Trieuth at Lincoln Square. Developer and general contractor Northshore Development Group has completed much of the exterior work, including the west-facing balconies, which no longer show any signs of the graffiti artists who visited the site while it was in post-groundbreaking financial limbo.

2127-2129 North Damen Avenue demolitions

With Pair Of Workers Cottages Demolished, 2129 North Damen Avenue Construction Begins In Bucktown

Two workers cottages have been demolished, and now construction work is underway, for a new residential development in the Bucktown neighborhood at 2129 North Damen Avenue. The cottages, both likely built in the 1900s-1910s, were permitted for demolition on September 6, and were torn down soon after. Once demo contractor DemoX was finished removing rubble, general contractor BM UK Enterprise Company got to work on the new build. The entity of Development Group LLC Fulton Market Branch is named in the new construction permit, issued August 19, as the developer.
