Construction has topped out and exterior work edges closer to completion on the residential development at 3015 North Southport Avenue in Lake View. The five-story building has reached full height, and vast majority of the brickwork appears to be done. The next project milestone might be adding windows to the exterior.
A permit has been issued by the City of Chicago to erect a four-story, six-unit residential building at 1345 West Grand Avenue in West Town. EZMB LLC applied for the permit on March 1st, and it came through on May 6th with a reported $2.95 million construction cost. EZMB will handle the general contracting duties themselves.
A construction permit was issued this week for a new residential development at 1935 North Mohawk Street in Lincoln Park. As that permit was coming through, demolition was underway on the three addresses it will replace. Now, two of those are reduced to rubble, while little more than partial façades remain of the third.
The Chicago City Council has approved plans for a new residential development at 1815 N California Avenue in Logan Square. Located near the intersection with W Cortland Street and just steps from an entrance to The 606 Trail, the project will replace a lot that has sat vacant for over a decade. Greenline Homes, LLC is the recipient of the permit, having filed an application to build on March 10. The permit shows them acting as their own general contractor, with a reported construction cost of $1.076 million.
