The Chicago Community Development Commission has approved initial funding for the mixed-use development at 3831 W Chicago Avenue in Humboldt Park. Located just east of the intersection with N Pulaski Road, the new structure will replace an empty lot and three masonry industrial buildings that currently occupy the space. Led by 548 Development who is working on similar projects through the Invest South/West initiative, the proposal is being designed by local firm Lamar Johnson Collaborative with the community in mind.

The Chicago City Council has approved the mixed-use development at 914 W 63rd Street in Englewood. Located on the northeast corner of the intersection with S Halsted Parkway, the proposal dubbed ‘Englewood Thrive’ will be replacing a large vacant lot just west of Englewood Connect which broke ground recently. Developer DL3 Realty is working with the local office of Perkins & Will on the design of the multi-phase project which hopes to foster growth and provide new housing in the changing area.

Located on the southeast corner with S Prairie Avenue, the proposal replaces an existing commercial building with the second phase of the 43Green project for which Chicago YIMBY was able to speak with the architects last month.
