Renovation Permits Issued for 1132 N Winchester Avenue in West Town

A permit was issued last week for the deconversion of a three-unit residential building located at 1132 N Winchester Avenue in West Town. The permit was issued to change a three dwelling-unit building into one with only two dwelling units. This is an interior renovation and will include a new third-floor frame addition, as well as a new rear porch, and new roofing. This building is owner-occupied by Sonya Sachdeva. There will not be a need for a zoning change.

City Council Approves Projects In Logan Square And West Town

The Chicago City Council has approved a residential development at 1805 N Hamlin Avenue in Logan Square as well as an industrial development at 1237 W Division Street in West Town. Both projects were recently approved by the Plan Commission as well late last month, they will now be able to apply for construction permits and schedule a forthcoming groundbreaking. 1805 N Hamlin Avenue is led by developer Latin United Community Housing Association (LUCHA), while 1237 W Division Street is being proposed by logistics developer LPC Division I.

Plan Commission Approves Industrial Facility At 1237 W Division Street In West Town

The Chicago Plan Commission has approved a new industrial development at 1237 W Division Street in West Town. The proposal replaces a currently empty lot and parking lot that once housed a Peoples Gas facility on the corner of N Elston Avenue, bound by the Metra UP-N and NW tracks to the west. The project is being led by developers LPC Division I with Ware Malcomb serving as the architect for the modern design in the quickly changing area.
