A new construction permit has been issued for a proposed four-story mixed-use building at 1321 North Ashland Avenue in West Town.
The City of Chicago has issued a permit for the interior remodeling and change of occupancy at 2200 West Grand Avenue, a four-story masonry building with 21 dwelling units in West Town. The permit, issued on April 29, was applied for on August 21, and took 252 days to process.
An opening date and additional renderings have been revealed for the new music venue at 1675 N Elston Avenue in West Town. Dubbed ‘The Outset’, the new venue redeveloped an existing industrial building on the site. The space is being developed by Auris Presents who also operates famed venues Concord Music Hall and RADIUS.
The Chicago City Council has approved the mixed-use development at 455 N Carpenter Street in West Town. Sitting just north of the West Loop along Grand Avenue, the proposal would replace a pair of existing buildings. Local-developer Range Group is leading the project with HPA working on its design.
An opening date has been announced for the upcoming Goose Island Beer Co. brewpub at 1219 W Blackhawk Street in West Town. Located in the rear of the Salt Shed entertainment complex which opened last year, the brewpub is a relocation of their previous brewpub not too far west. The development is a collaboration between the brewery and 16” On Center.
