Inspire West Town’s Core Reaches Full Height at 1140 W Erie Street

The two elevator and stair cores have now reached full height at Inspire West Town, hinting at the eight-story project’s future presence beside the Kennedy Expressway. Located at 1140 W Erie Street, the building is being developed by Bond Companies, and is set to include a mix of ground-level retail and 113 rental apartment units. A total of 23 affordable units will be provided under the affordable requirements ordinance, six of which will be on-site and the remaining 17 elsewhere in the vicinity.

Permits Issued for 1335 W Walton Street in West Town

Construction permits have been issued for a three-floor residential development set for 1335 W Walton Street in West Town. Rafal Salabaj is the filing owner, who plans three total units, each with front balconies. Other building features include a rooftop deck and stair enclosure and a three-car masonry garage. The new project will replace a two-story frame building and a detached garage.

Permits Issued for 1423 W Huron Street in West Town

Construction permits have been issued for a new four-story residential building at 1423 W Huron Street in West Town. The owner is listed as Wentworth 50 LLC, whose plans will include a four-bedroom duplex basement and ground-level unit, a two-bedroom single-floor unit above, and a three-bedroom duplex at the top. This second duplex will house the majority of the living space on its first level, while the second level will be occupied by two private rooftop deck areas, between which is small penthouse enclosure containing the duplex’s third bedroom and bath. The project will also come with a detached three-car garage in the rear.
