Foundation work is underway after the completion of demolition at 1450 West School Street in Lake View. The two-unit residential building, permitted by the City of Chicago on April 26, will include a detached two-car garage, plus two wood decks; one atop the garage, and one at the rear of the first floor.
A three-story, six-unit apartment building is progressing at 3930 N Janssen Avenue in Chicago’s Lake View neighborhood. The City of Chicago issued its New Construction permit on October 25, 2023. Being built by developer and general contractor Barrett Homes, the residences will include porches and balconies at the rear on all three levels and a roof-top deck. A detached six-car garage will also be topped with a roof deck.
A construction permit for a new residential project at 6120 S University Avenue in Woodlawn has been approved. This development will consist of a three-story building housing nine units, replacing a three-story brick building. McInerney Properties LLC is the project’s owner.
A three story construction project at 935 W Webster Avenue in Lincoln Park has now topped out. Mavrek Development is overseeing this mixed-use redevelopment, which builds upon the existing one-story structure that was once home to the State restaurant. The redesigned building will incorporate four new apartment units above retail space on the first floor.
A new residential permit has been approved for 3121 N Clybourn Avenue in Roscoe Village. This three-story development, set to replace a low-rise structure and an accompanying parking lot, represents the first of two planned condominium structures on the site, both developed by Bresani LLC. There will be no retail space, as the ground floors will be occupied for residential use.
