Updated Plans Revealed For Mixed-Use Development At 4640 N Western Avenue In Lincoln Square

Updated plans have been revealed for the mixed-use development at 4640 N Western Avenue in Lincoln Square. The nearly block-long site is bound by W Eastwood Avenue to the south and the CTA Brown Line tracks to the north, with the new proposal replacing four existing structures and a previously approved plan from 2021. Now the current owner and developer under the name 4640 Western LLC is working with local firm Hirsch MPG on the new design with increased density.

Roof Installed for 801 W Belmont in Lake View

The roof has now been installed for 801 W Belmont Avenue, a two-story commercial development that will occupy a prominent corner site in Lakeview East. The project is developed by Hubbard Street Group, which also owns several other properties along the busy commercial corridor.

Brickwork can now be seen at Fulton Market‘s 732 W Randolph Street, where a new nine-story commercial addition is taking shape. Developed by Samuel Oliva, this nine-story structure will offer 6,000 square feet of office space on each of the next seven levels, with retail on the first floor and tenant amenities on the ninth floor.

Steel Nears Full Height for 801 W Belmont in Lakeview East

Steel beams are approaching what will eventually be the roofline for a new two-story commercial building at 801 W Belmont Avenue in Lakeview East. Developed by Hubbard Street Group, the project will be replacing a former brick edifice originally designed by Ivar Viehe-Naess and completed in 1921.The replacing project will house 59,000 square feet of commercial or retail usage and will come with 300 feet of new store frontage.

Commercial Addition at 732 W Randolph Street Fully Tops Out in Fulton Market

Construction topped out for a planned commercial addition at 732 W Randolph Street at the eastern end of Fulton Market District. This nine-story structure is being developed by Samuel Oliva, whose initiative expands on an existing commercial center known as “Randolph Office Center.” The existing buildings in this assemblage include an adjacent six-story office and retail building, as well as a 12-story building directly to the east, housing condominiums with flex commercial space.

801 W Belmont Avenue Rises Above Grade in Lakeview East

Foundation work is beginning to rise for a two-story commercial building at 801 W Belmont Avenue in Lakeview East. Developed by Hubbard Street Group, the project is replacing a masonry bank and surface parking lot on the block bound by Belmont Avenue, Clark Street, and Halsted Street. This former bank at 3179 N Clark Street was originally designed by Ivar Viehe-Naess and built in 1921. Demolition was completed in late 2021.

732 W Randolph Street Passes Fifth Floor in Fulton Market District

Demolition Permits Issued for 1744 W Addison Street in Roscoe Village

A demolition permit was issued on Wednesday for a two-story frame multi-unit residence along with a detached frame garage located at 1457 W Roscoe Street in the Roscoe Village neighborhood. The site will be replaced by mixed-use development at 1754 W Addison Street in Roscoe Village planned by architecture firm Hirsch MPG.

1118 W Patterson Avenue Undergoes Final Facade Work in Wrigleyville

The new construction project is situated at the border between residential and commercial zones, and will replace a former pair of masonry low-rise buildings.

Developer Acosta Ezgur plans for the structure to connect with two other buildings just to the east, the adjacent structure at 730 W Randolph Street is a landmarked six-story building with office and retail, and the other is a 12-story building with condominiums and flexible commercial space. Combined, this assemblage has been marketed as “Randolph Office Center.”
