Final work on the base and roof is wrapping up for River North‘s 13-story 448 N LaSalle Drive, a planned mixed-use development by Midwest Property Group.
JDL Development has revealed plans for the proposed North Union development in Near North Side. Generally bounded by the CTA Brown Line tracks and W Oak Street, W Chestnut Street, and N Wells Street, the North Union site will span eight acres. Consisting of 15 buildings across the entire property, the design team includes Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture, Goettsch Partners, Latent Design, and Omni Workshop.
Excavation work has begun on the site of a six-story mixed-use building at 61 W Erie Street. Photos show construction equipment on site in preparation for the new structure in River North. The developer, LG Developer Group, has planned retail on the ground floor with 28 apartments above.
Exterior work is well underway at the 15-story Bentham Chicago, located near the center of the River North neighborhood. Designed and developed by Sedgwick Development, the 172-foot-tall building at 146 W Erie Street will house retail in its base and 31 condominium units above.
The Chicago Plan Commission has approved a new five-story development at 50 E Huron Street in River North. Located on an interior lot along E Huron Street, the site is between N Wabash Avenue and N Rush Street. The Chicago CTA L station, serviced by the Red Line, is a four-minute walk away. The lot is also within a two-minute walk of numerous CTA bus lines on N Michigan Avenue and N State Street. Restorative Care Institute is the developer and eventual tenant for the project.
