Onni Group‘s 41-story residential tower, known as The Grand, is wrapping up its remaining exterior touches at 369 W Grand Avenue in River North. At 449 feet tall, The Grand ranks 19th in YIMBY’s end-of-year countdown for tallest new developments.
Exterior work is wrapping up on the topped-out, 41-story residential tower at 369 W Grand Avenue, dubbed “The Grand” in River North. The project is both developed and constructed by Onni Group, and designed by Brininstool + Lynch. YIMBY last reported on the development in August when facade work was still needed on the top nine floors, four of which have since been completed.

The property is a longer-rectangle shape at the southwest corner of W Grand Avenue and N Orleans Street. The site also lies near three bus routes, including a two-minute walk west to Route 65’s Grand & Kingsbury, as well as a one-minute walk east to Route 37 and Route 125’s Orleans & Grand. Nearby CTA L access includes a seven-minute walk southeast to Merchandise Mart Station, which is serviced by the Brown and Purple Lines. Notable nearby locations also include Merchandise Mart, Chicago’s largest building, and a major restaurant scene beginning around two blocks east.
