Initial details have been revealed for a mixed-use development at 2419 N Lincoln Avenue in Lincoln Park. Located on the six-way intersection with N Halsted Street and W Fullerton Parkway, the new structure will replace a small privately-owned Julia Porter Park that was open to the public. The project comes from developer Mike Breheny who is working with local architects Studio Dwell on the masonry-clad building.

A popular Rogers Park business is on the move. XO’s Marshmallow Cafe first opened its doors at 6977 N Sheridan Road in 2017 where it has successfully operated as a fun and quirky place for locals to shop all things marshmallows. According to their site, the establishment was the “World’s First Marshmallow Café,” and the café has cultivated and kept its following by serving up homemade s’mores, gourmet hot chocolate, and other beverages topped off with marshmallow fluff.

Initial details have been revealed for the redevelopment of the Cenacle Retreat and Conference Center at 513 W Fullerton Avenue in Lincoln Park. The plans which will be discussed at an upcoming community meeting depict the potential future of the multi-lot site occupied by the 1967-built masonry-clad structures. Developer Henry Street Partners LLC has tapped local design firm Wheeler Kearns Architects for the subdivision master planning and design of the one multi-unit structure.
