The City of Chicago has issued a permit for a new-construction masonry building at 1443 West Roscoe Street in Lake View. Ronan Construction applied for the permit on May 21 of this year, and it came through on October 10 with a reported cost of $920,000. It is one of two new developments they’re erecting on this block.
The four-story addition to the residential building at 3839 North Clark Street in the Wrigleyville neighborhood of Lake View has already climbed to its top story. That marks significant progress since the last visit to the site, which saw the concrete basement in place. The addition adds six more dwelling units to the five-story apartment development Mangan Builders constructed next door.
The concrete basement is in place for a three-story plus basement, four-unit residential building at 1306 West Winona Street in the Uptown neighborhood. A permit was issued to begin construction on April 29. Two days later, a demolition permit was issued to tear down an existing residence on the property that dated back to the mid-1890s. An entity of 1306 Winona Corp, registered to this address, made the purchase and is named in the construction permit as the developer.
The foundation has been poured for a new addition next to the residential building at 3839 North Clark Street in Wrigleyville. A demolition permit was issued for a multi-unit structure next door at 3837 North Clark back in January. Demolition hadn’t begun as of a February 6 visit to the site, but another trip there on March 25 showed the home gone, and most of the new foundation excavated.
A construction permit applied for on March 12 was issued April 29 to erect a four-unit building at 1306 West Winona Street in Uptown. Two days later, on May 1, a demolition permit was granted to remove the single-family dwelling currently occupying the site.
