Construction Permit Comes Through For 3310 North Lincoln Avenue In Lake View

A residential development has been permitted at 3310 North Lincoln Avenue in Lake View, two and a half years after applications were filed to start construction. Mangan Builders will put up a six-story building on the site, which was cleared of a pair of low-sling structures back in spring 2024. The permit was issued on March 27, and it shows a reported cost of $6 million. Mangan is the general contractor, in addition to their developer duties.

City Council Approves 3710 N Ashland Avenue In Lake View

The Chicago City Council has approved the residential development at 3710 N Ashland Avenue in Lake View. Having submitted a zoning application over a month ago, the project has seen various design changes leading up to its approval. Local developer Corett Builders Corp is working with structural engineer MC & Associates, LLC on its design.

Partial Funding Announced For Redevelopment At 3150 N Racine Avenue

Partial funding has been announced for the affordable development at 3150 N Racine Avenue in Lakeview. Sitting on the corner with W Belmont Avenue, the project was approved by the city back in 2022. The proposal is being led by Mercy Housing and expands the existing SRO with a design developed by LBBA Architects.

Revised Plans Revealed For Dinkel’s Bakery Redevelopment

Revised plans have been revealed for mixed-use development at 3327 N Lincoln Avenue in Lake View. Sitting on a wedge-shaped lot with N Marshfield Avenue running along the rear, the new building will replace a handful of existing structures including the home of Dinkel’s Bakery. Developer PCR Group has been working with Jonathan Splitt Architects on the design while pursuing a rezoning of the site.

Dinkel’s Replacement Advances To September’s Zoning Meeting

A meeting time has been set to review the zoning application for the mixed-use development at 3327 N Lincoln Avenue in Lake View. Replacing the long-term home of neighborhood staple Dinkel’s Bakery, the new proposal will also demolish three-additional buildings ranging from one to three stories in height. Developer PCR Group is working with Jonathan Splitt Architects on the design, whose application was deferred at last month’s zoning meeting.

New Permits Issued for 1642 W Diversey Parkway in Lake View

Permits were issued on Wednesday for the construction of a new three-story residential building. The future project will be located at 1642 W Diversey Parkway in Lake View. The owner is listed as Eirpol LLC and plans indicate that there will be three total dwelling units. Michael S Cox is listed as the architect of record. This will be a masonry building with a basement, a rooftop deck, and a detached three-vehicle masonry garage with a flat roof. No drawings or renderings have been made public. We reported on a neighboring build planned for 1646 W Diversey Parkway by the same team.

City Council Approves Mixed-Use Expansion At 3150 N Racine Avenue In Lakeview

The Chicago City Council has approved the rezoning for a mixed-use development at 3150 N Racine Avenue in Lakeview. The project on the corner with W Belmont Avenue recently received its approval from the Plan Commission and will be able to proceed with permitting when it sees fit. Being developed as an expansion to the adjacent Single Room Occupancy (SRO) building operated by developer Mercy Housing, the expansion continues the same design language and is being led by local firm Landon Bone Baker.

Plan Commission Approves SRO Project at 3150 N Racine Avenue in Lakeview

The Chicago Plan Commission has approved plans for a residential expansion of the existing Belray Apartments building at 3150 N Racine Avenue in Lakeview. The property and its parking lot are located right off of W Belmont Avenue and are operated by Mercy Housing, who is also developing the new expansion with architect Landon Bone Baker. Since we last covered the project in January, there have been a handful of changes including a decrease in total units.

A permit was issued early last week for a two-story commercial development to be located at 801 Belmont Avenue in the Lake View neighborhood. This is a corner lot and has also been addressed as 3179 N Clark Street.
