Additional funding has been approved for the new BandWith Chicago headquarters at 134 S California Avenue in East Garfield Park. The non-profit organization will be redeveloping an existing industrial building bound by W Wilcox Street to the north and W Adams Street to the south. The organization itself is leading the development with Lamar Johnson Collaborative working on its design.

UIC Computer Design and Research Center Wraps Up Final Exterior Touches in Little Italy

The University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) is nearing the completion of its new Computer Design Research and Learning Center, located at 900 W Taylor Street in the Little Italy neighborhood. The center, a 135,000-square-foot facility, is designed to support UIC’s computer science education and research. This five-story building is an addition to the existing Science and Engineering Labs building, connecting old and new architectural elements.

Informational Outreach Meeting Announced For DPI At The 78

An informational outreach meeting has been announced for the Discovery Partners Institute (DPI) at 1519 S Wells Street within The 78. Located just south of the South Loop and off of the recently completed Wells-Wentworth connector, DPI is set to be the first building within the proposed megadevelopment. The project is being spearheaded by the Illinois Capital Development Board and Related Midwest, with architecture firms OMA and Jacobs working on its design.
