160 N Morgan Street Nears Full Height in Fulton Market

Construction is nearly complete for 160 N Morgan Street, a 30-story mixed-use tower located in Fulton Market District. Developed by Sterling Bay and Ascentris, the tower boasts a height of 350 feet and will provide 282 for-rent apartments atop two levels of retail. The development is set to offer a mix of residences, ranging from studios to two-bedroom floor plans. Furthermore, 28 of the on-site units will be designated as affordable housing.

Initial Funding Announced For Bank Redevelopment In Woodlawn

Initial funding has been announced for the mixed-use development at 6300 S Cottage Grove Avenue in Woodlawncovered the plans to restore and redevelop the old Washington Park National Bank building mid-last year. Now plans for the structure located on the southwest corner of the intersection with E 63rd Street received new life thanks to city-approved funding. Developer DL3 Realty has been working on its plans for a few years now and is working with local firm bKL Architecture on this iteration.

West Loop’s 160 N Morgan Clenches 8th Place In Year-End Countdown

Quickly rising into the 8th place of this year’s countdown is the mixed-use tower at 160 N Morgan Street in the West Loop. Located just north of famed W Randolph Street in the growing neighborhood, the project recently had its first pieces of facade installed as it grows next to neighborhood stalwart Federales who just announced a Logan Square outpost. Developer Sterling Bay partnered with the Colorado-based equity firm Ascentris, both of which are also working on the 11th place of the countdown 225 N Elizabeth nearby, with bKL Architecture leading the design.

Construction has now ascended past the 12th floor at 160 N Morgan Street, a 30-story mixed-use tower in Fulton Market District. At 350 feet in height, the new high rise by Sterling Bay and Ascentris will tower above the majority of the other buildings west of the Kennedy Expressway, making a significant mark on the growing West Loop skyline.

The high rise, planned by Sterling Bay and Ascentris, will be one of the tallest buildings west of the Kennedy Expressway. The Loop‘s newest skyscraper, 300 N Michigan Avenue, is now complete. The 47-story mixed-use tower developed by Sterling Bay and Magellan Development Group features a retail base, a 280-key citizenM hotel on the lower levels, and 289 rental apartment units dubbed “Millie on Michigan.”

Residential Skyscraper Cirrus Now Open to Residents in Lakeshore East

Now open to residents is the 47-story condominium skyscraper known as Cirrus, situated just west of the lakefront in Chicago’s Lakeshore East. This 562-foot-tall tower at 211 N Harbor Drive was developed by Lendlease and Magellan Development Group, offering 350 condominiums connected to 50,000 square feet of amenity space. Alongside its 37-story apartment buildings sibling dubbed Cascade and a 0.8-acre-Cascade Park. The two towers and the park occupy the parcels J, K, and L of the larger Lakeshore East masterplan.

Initial Details Revealed For Mixed-Use Development At 6300 S Cottage Grove Avenue In Woodlawn

Initial plans have been revealed for a mixed-use development within the walls of the existing Washington Park National Bank building at 6300 S Cottage Grove Avenue in Woodlawn. Located on the southwest corner with E 63rd Street directly adjacent to the CTA Green Line terminal station, the historical structure has fallen into deep disrepair from years of sitting vacant. Developers DL3 Realty have owned the site for various years with their precious plans being proposed prior to the pandemic and having since changed, although local firm bKL Architecture remains as the project’s designer.
