Cirrus Nears Topping Out in Lakeshore East, as Chicago’s 12th Tallest Development

Construction is close to topping out for the 562-foot-tall Cirrus in Lakeshore East as Chicago’s 12th tallest development. Officially addressed at 211 N Harbor Drive, Cirrus is part of the larger Lakeshore East development within the Parcels IJKL. The site sits between N Harbor Drive and Lake Shore Drive, just south of the multi-level Wacker Drive. The tower is being developed by Lendlease and Magellan Development Group, with bKL Architecture in charge of the design.

Construction Rises Above Street Level at 300 N Michigan Avenue, Chicago’s 14th Tallest Development

Construction has risen above street level at 300 N Michigan Avenue, located in The Loop. Planned to rise 523 feet, the tower will stand 47 stories above the intersection of N Michigan Avenue and E Wacker Place. The development is a result of the collaboration by Magellan Development Group and Sterling Bay.

Cascade Tops Out 396 Feet Above Lakeshore East as Chicago’s 22nd Tallest Development

Construction on Cascade has topped out 396 feet over Lakeshore East. Officially addressed at 455 E Waterside Drive, Cascade is part of the larger Lakeshore East development within the Parcels IJKL. The site sits between N Harbor Drive and Lake Shore Drive, just south of the multi-level Wacker Drive. The towers are being developed by Lendlease and Magellan Development Group, with bKL Architecture in charge of the design.

Panorama Chicago’s Exterior Nearly Complete in Lake View

Masonry work and glass installation is nearly complete for Panorama Chicago, an eight-story mixed-use development at 3300 N Clark Street in Lake View. Developed by BlitzLake Partners and designed by bKL Architecture, the building will bring ground-level retail and 140 apartment units to the commercially-dense area.

Construction Commences at bKL Architecture’s 300 N Michigan in The Loop

Construction has begun on the foundations for 300 N Michigan, which will rise 523 feet across 47 stories. Addressed as 300 N Michigan Avenue in The Loop, the development will stand at the intersection of N Michigan Avenue and E Wacker Place. Permit filings show that the foundation permits were issued in August, approving the construction of the caissons, foundation structure, and full floor structure up to level four. Full building permits have yet to be filed for the tower portion of the project. 300 N Michigan LLC is the owner behind the applications, an LLC for Magellan Development Group and Sterling Bay, the developers collaborating on this project.

Cirrus and Cascade Towers Continue Their Ascent in Lakeshore East

The 512-foot-tall Cirrus and its neighboring 396-foot-tall Cascade are approaching the halfway mark of their vertical climb in Downtown’s Lakeshore East neighborhood. Together with the nearby Vista Tower, officially 93 stories but marketed as 101 stories, the Lendlease and Magellan-backed towers form the latest chapter of the neighborhood’s 80-year transformation from a rail yard to a 21st-century residential nucleus.
