Further details and renderings have been revealed for the first phase of the O’Hare terminal expansion. The renderings and plans are for the first satellite concourse to be located just west of the existing C concourse that is connected to Terminal 1. The project is being led by the Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) along with SOM, Ross Barney Architects, Arup, and JGMA working on its design.

Located on the corner with W Fulton Street, the mixed-use development was originally proposed in 2021 under the address of 1353 W Fulton Street. The project is being led by Shapack Partners, CRG, and KMW Communities and received city approvals in 2022.

The project was originally revealed in 2018 and has seen multiple revisions prior to now, with the new tower replacing the long-term vacant site and hole left behind by the Chicago Spire. The two-phase development is being led by Related Midwest with architecture-firm SOM working on its design.

Construction Logistics Meeting Announced For 400 N Lake Shore Drive In Streeterville

A community meeting has been announced to discuss the start of construction for 400 N Lake Shore Drive in Streeterville. Sitting atop of the former Spire site, the two-tower development has been in the works for many years. Most recently a financing meeting was held and now Alderman Reily is running the logistics meeting. The project is being led by Related Midwest who tapped architecture firm SOM for its design.
