A construction permit has been approved for a new residential development located at 1007 W Cullerton Street in Pilsen. The project will see the construction of a three-story building with two duplex units and a basement. Also noted in the filing was a private rooftop deck and a three-story open steel porch in the rear yard. This new building will occupy a previously vacant site owned by Sergio Garcia, who is also the acting general contractor.

1000M Tower Approaches 700 feet in South Loop

The 74-story residential skyscraper, 1000M, is nearing its final height of 805 feet. Situated at 1000 S Michigan Avenue in South Loop, this joint venture by JK Equities, Time Equities, and Oak Capitals has evolved from initially planned 506 condominium units to now house 738 rental apartments.

A construction permit has been granted for a new three-story residential project at 1232 S Fairfield Avenue in the Douglass Park neighborhood. The new multifamily building will feature a three-story masonry building with three dwelling units and a rear stair, replacing a previously vacant grass parcel. The listed owner of the project is East Douglas Partners LLC.

Two-Story at 1735 N Albany Avenue Receives Permit in Humboldt Park

A permit for a new two-floor, two-unit residential building has been issued under the address 1735 N Albany Avenue in Humboldt Park. Set to be both developed and built by BM UK Enterprise Company, the new housing will come with a rooftop deck and stair enclosure. The main structure will also be accompanied by a detached three-vehicle garage. Hanna Architects is the listed architect of record.

1000M Begins to Rise Above South Loop Skyline

1000M, a 74-story residential skyscraper at 1000 S Michigan Avenue in South Loop, is now approaching the 620-foot roofline of the nearby Sentral Chicago Avenue. Set to rise 805 feet to its pinnacle and 789 feet to its roofline, the tower is a joint venture by JK Equities, Time Equities, and Oak Capitals. The building will house 738 rental apartments, a pivot from the initially planned 506 condominium units.

Construction permits have now been issued for a three-story residential development at 3409 N Bosworth Avenue in Lake View. The project site is located between W Roscoe Street and W Cornelia Avenue, and bounded by the CTA Brown Line tracks to the north. The property is being developed by Marduk Management, using two LLCs named 3407 N Bosworth LLC and 3409 N Bosworth LLC, with plans for six total units for the project, each approximately 1,025 square feet.

The Reed Wraps Up Facade at 234 W Polk Street in South Loop

Facade work has now completed for The Reed, a 41-story residential tower at 234 W Polk Street in South Loop. Developed by Lendlease, the 447-foot-tall tower comprises 440 units, including 216 condominiums and 224 apartments, with one-, two-, and three-bedroom options ranging in size from 630 to 1,670 square feet. Prices range from the low $400,000s to $1.4 million.

New Design Revealed for 2429 W Fullerton Avenue in Logan Square

A new set of plans have been revealed for a new residential building at 2429 W Fullerton Avenue in Logan Square. The current developer, SNS Realty Group, had bought the site from a previous developer with a different scope and design. This latest proposed iteration will offer 36 total units, split evenly between one-bedrooms and two-bedrooms. Seven of the units will be affordable under ARO guidelines.

CA6 Condos Completes Exterior Construction in West Loop

Final touches can be seen at CA6, a seven-story residential development by Belgravia Group in West Loop. The project will provide 72 condominiums under the address 311 S Racine Avenue, replacing a former single-story dance center.

Sheffield of Lincoln Park Approaching Completion in Lincoln Park

Final facade work is now underway for a six-story residential building at 2700 N Sheffield Avenue in Lincoln Park. Known as “Sheffield of Lincoln Park,” the project is part of a broader renovation plan by Pihrl and the Chicago Housing Authority to renovate the Edith Spurlock Apartment complex, whose two existing buildings were originally built in the 1960s. Set to replace a parking lot between the pair of structures, the new 85-foot-tall edifice will house 80 residences to bring the complex’s total up to 485 units.
