Zoning Variances Approved for 4640 N Western Avenue in Lincoln Square

The Zoning Board of Appeals has approved three variances for a new mixed-use development at 4640 N Western Avenue in Lincoln Square. This $26.7 million initiative developed by Macon Construction and designed by Hirsch MPG will involve a new six-story mixed-use building alongside the renovation of a 1920s-era, four-story building to the north. There will be a total 74 residential units and 3,900 square feet of retail space on the ground floor.

Plans have been revealed for a new mixed-use development at 5035 N Lincoln Avenue in Lincoln Square. Located on the southeast corner with W Winnemac Avenue, the new building will replace an existing construction site in the growing neighborhood. The project itself is being led by 5019 Lincoln LLC and designed by local firm Hanna Architects, who have worked on other residential proposals in the area.

Construction continues on the mixed-use redevelopment of 4735 N Western Avenue in Lincoln Square. Located just north of the CTA Brown Line at Western station and near the intersection with W Lawrence Avenue, plans to renovate much of the building were revealed earlier this year along the changing corridor. Developer Rany Management is behind the project and worked with local firm Kennedy Mann Architects on its design.
