The Zoning Board of Appeals has approved three variances for a new mixed-use development at 4640 N Western Avenue in Lincoln Square. This $26.7 million initiative developed by Macon Construction and designed by Hirsch MPG will involve a new six-story mixed-use building alongside the renovation of a 1920s-era, four-story building to the north. There will be a total 74 residential units and 3,900 square feet of retail space on the ground floor.

Facade Work Wraps Up for Lakeview Connection in Lakeview East

Facade work has wrapped up for 801 W Belmont Avenue, known as Lakeview Connection, in Lakeview East. The project will replace a former bank built in 1921 and designed by Ivar Viehe-Naess, as well as an adjacent parking lot. The developer, Hubbard Street Group, has planned for 59,000 square feet of space and 300 feet of storefront. The CBRE-provided brochure for the property indicates seven total retail units.
