Located just south of the intersection with E 16th Street, the project replaces a long-time vacant lot across the street from Anderson Park. Though no formal renderings have been revealed, it is being led by CMK Companies with Pappageorge Haymes serving as the designer.

A construction permit has been issued for a new South Loop development at 1700 South Wabash Avenue. Developed by CMK Companies, the new nine-story residential building, with a height of 115 feet, is set to house 37 residential units. These units will include 11 studios, 10 one-bedrooms, 14 two-bedrooms, and two three-bedrooms on the top floor with private terraces. In compliance with city regulations, 20 percent of these units will be designated as affordable.
