The new structure is set to replace a currently vacant lot, that was re-designated from B3-1 (Community Shopping District) to Cl-1 (Neighborhood Commercial District) in 2013.

For parking, the structure will house four spaces in its basement and an additional four in two detached garages in the rear.

Photos show the near-complete construction of a five-story addition to an existing two-story building, located at 2353 S Wentworth Avenue in Chinatown. The project owner and developer, ME Wentworth LLC led by Che Mei Wong, has renovated the original two-story retail structure, while adding 149 rooms in a new four-floor hotel portion. An additional seventh-floor residential component appears to be in the works, which will include a single 3,000-square-foot penthouse unit.
Recent photos show rapid progress on window installation and masonry cladding for a seven-story mixed-use building located at 300 W Division Street in Near North Side. The developer The Domain Group has planned retail space on the ground floor, with 89 total apartments above. Of the units, 65 will be single bedrooms, while the remaining 24 will be studio apartments. A parking garage will also be integrated into the rear end of the structure, though the exact number of spaces is not currently known.
