A major 12-story residential development is approaching its full height at 4600 N Marine Drive in Uptown. Developed by Lincoln Property Company and designed by Valerio Dewalt Train, the project replaces a former parking lot attached to Weiss Memorial Hospital.
Facade work has commenced for a five-story mixed-use building at 1135 W Winona Street in Uptown. This edifice is part of a two-part development phase known as “The Draper” by Cedar St. Companies. Both buildings will stand five stories and featuring a combination of ground-level retail spaces and 180 residential units in total, comprised of 168 apartments and 12 townhomes.
Construction is wrapping up for a new affordable residential development for seniors at 833 W Wilson Avenue in Uptown. Brinshore Development LLC has joined forces with Landon Bone Baker Architect, a firm renowned for their affordable housing designs, to bring this project to life. The building will be situated on a vacant lot to the west of the intersection with N Clarendon Avenue, close to the recently approved Sarah’s on Lakeview.
Final construction progress is closing in for a mixed-use building being developed by Cedar Street Companies at 4600 Kenmore Avenue in Uptown. The five-story building is set to house 2,500 square feet of retail space on the ground floor and 62 rental apartments situated above. The unit sizes will range from studios to two-bedroom apartments. Specifically to the fifth level, a portion of the units will also possess their own private terrace space intermingled with a green roof.
Construction permits have been issued for a new three-story residential building at 4906 N Kenmore Avenue in Uptown. The owner, Variable Properties LLC, plans to replace a currently vacant lot with a seven-unit building and two detached garages.
