Permit in hand, 32 residential units are coming to 4907 North Paulina Street

A residential development at 4907 North Paulina Street that came to light in February of this year received its new construction permit from the City of Chicago on August 27. Slated for construction is a four-story, 32-unit building from developer Hayes Properties and Dale Foster Architects. The permit, which was applied for in October of 2023, estimates construction costs at $3 million. 5035 North Broadway demolition

Demolition permit issued for W.C. Reebie & Brother Storage building in Uptown

A planned renovation of the W. C. Reebie & Brother storage building at 5035 North Broadway in Uptown will include demolition of the front portion of the building. The City of Chicago issued a demolition permit for the 1920-built, George Kingsley-designed structure on August 7. While the permit does not specifically state “partial demolition,” a spokesman for TimeLine Theatre, the building’s owner, confirmed “only the front” of the building will be demolished.

5035 N Sheridan Road construction

Construction is underway for 77-unit development at 5035 North Sheridan in Uptown

Construction is underway on an eight-story, 77-unit residential building at 5035 N Sheridan Road in Uptown. Issued in September of last year, the construction permit from the City of Chicago also calls for a single retail space on the ground floor. According to plans approved by the Chicago Plan Commission in August of last year, there will be 39 parking spaces for cars and 77 spaces for bicycles.
