A construction permit has been issued for a new South Loop development at 1700 South Wabash Avenue. Developed by CMK Companies, the new nine-story residential building, with a height of 115 feet, is set to house 37 residential units. These units will include 11 studios, 10 one-bedrooms, 14 two-bedrooms, and two three-bedrooms on the top floor with private terraces. In compliance with city regulations, 20 percent of these units will be designated as affordable.

Renovation Permit Issued for 1432 S Clinton Street in South Loop

The six-story building now displays orange paint at the intersection of W Polk Street and Canal Street, near the Old Post Office. The property is owned by 601W Companies and is being developed alongside its leasing partner The Telos Group, with SCB overseeing the redesign.

Constructed in 1893, the station was designed by esteemed architect Bradford L. Gilbert to accommodate the traffic demands of the World’s Columbian Exposition. Located near Roosevelt Road and Michigan Avenue, the station’s strategic position was instrumental for moving people and goods within the city and beyond. Sale Announced For Parcel Next To NEMA In South Loop

Updated Renderings Revealed For Canal Station In South Loop

Updated renderings have been revealed for the renovation for the structure dubbed Canal Station at 801 S Canal Street in the South Loop. The massive building is located on the southeastern corner with W Polk Street just south of the Old Post Office, thus the property’s new owners hope to cash in on the area’s growing appeal for office relocations in recent years. Developers 601W Companies and The Telos Group are behind the project and are working with SCB on its design.

1000M Tops Out in South Loop

The 73-story residential skyscraper, 1000M, located in South Loop at 1000 S Michigan Avenue, has now officially topped out. This 805-foot-tall project is a collaboration between JK Equities, Time Equities, and Oak Capitals, with an original proposal for 506 condominium units. However, the plan has since been altered to a rental building housing 738 apartments.
