Details have been revealed for a new mixed-use development at 535 E 47th Street in Bronzeville. Located on the southwest corner with S St Lawrence Avenue just east of the CTA Green Line at 47th station, the proposal will replace an empty lot down the street from the upcoming five-story project from Two Fish Crab Shack at 641 E 47th Street. Developer Bronzeville Corridor LLC is working with local firm SGW Architecture & Design.

City Council Approves 455 W Briar Place In Lake View East

The Chicago City Council has approved the residential development at 453-455 W Briar Place in Lake View East. Located on a quiet one-way street near the intersection with N Broadway, the building will replace a pair of single-family homes built in the early 1900s. News on the project broke back in December as it brought in a unique design language not often seen in newer developments, this was led by SGW Architecture who is contracted by the site’s developer GVP Development.

Plans have been revealed for a new residential development at 453-455 W Briar Place in Lake View East. Located east of N Broadway and near Lincoln Park, the new structure will replace two existing multi-story homes built in the early 1900s that together make up a 9,180-square-foot lot. Locally-based GVP Development is leading the proposal along with design firm SGW Architecture who aims to mimic the style of its surroundings.
