The Committee on Design has reviewed the two-tower office development at 655 W Madison Street in West Loop Gate. The project from the John Buck Company is set to replace a full-block parking lot bound between W Madison Street, N Desplaines Street, W Monroe Street, and the Kennedy Expressway.
Updated details have been revealed for the mixed-use development at 4000 W North Avenue in Humboldt Park. Dubbed Team Pioneros, the Invest South/West-winning project was presented to the Committee on Design this past week as it begins its journey towards groundbreaking. Park Row Development is working with a 100 percent Latinx-owned team led by local architecture firm JGMA who will not only be working on the design, but will be moving into the restored Pioneer Bank upon completion.
The Community Development Commission has approved funds and the land sale for a new mixed-use development at 3401 W Ogden Avenue in North Lawndale. Dubbed the Grace Manor Apartments, the new project on the corner of W Ogden Avenue and S Homan Avenue replaces a parking lot used by the nearby police station with a colorful new affordable housing structure. Co-developers East Lake Management and Jerusalem CDC tapped local architecture firm JGMA for the design of the low-rise hoping to help anchor a new wave of growth for the neighborhood.
The Chicago City Council has approved a new wellness center at 2933 W Division Street in Humboldt Park. Located on the intersection with N Richmond Street and across the street from the neighborhood’s namesake park, the new facility will replace an empty lot and three-story residential building while utilizing the existing adjacent parking lot. Developer Humboldt Park Health recently received approval from the Chicago Plan Commission on the JGMA-designed structure.
The Chicago Plan Commission has approved a new three-story wellness center to be located at 2933 W Division Street in Humboldt Park. The 45,500-square-foot project is part of Humboldt Park Health’s expansion in the area, with this latest addition expected to employ 60 new part- and full-time workers.
