Groundbreaking Held For Community Center In Brighton Park

A groundbreaking has been held for a new community center at 4000 S Archer Avenue in Brighton Park. Located just east of the intersection with S California Avenue, the center will replace a vacant lot near Kelly Edward Park. The center will serve as the new headquarters for the Brighton Park Neighborhood Network (BPNN), who is also building the facility which was designed by local architecture firm JGMA.

Outer Walls Installed for New Health and Wellness Center in Humboldt Park

At 2933 W Division Street in Humboldt Park, the construction of a new health and wellness center continues to advance, with the building’s shell now in place. Valued at $24 million, the center covers an area of 45,500 square feet and reaches a height of 62 feet. This three-story building is a collaborative effort between Humboldt Park Health and the architectural firm JGMA. The curved design will be clad in an iridescent facade, composed of blue and green metal paneling and glass curtain wall cut-outs.

Groundbreaking Held For Grace Manor In North Lawndale

A groundbreaking has been held for the mixed-use affordable development at 3401 W Ogden Avenue in North Lawndale. Known as ‘Grace Manor’, the proposal will rise on the corner with S Homan Avenue and replace a parking lot commonly used by the nearby police station. The project is being led by co-developers East Lake Management and Jerusalem CDC, with local architecture firm JGMA having worked on its design.

Cabrini Green Redevelopment To Move Forward To Zoning Review

The mixed-use development at 1450 N Larrabee Street in Old Town is set to advance to the Committee on Zoning. The wedge-shaped site is bound by the angled portion of N Clybourn Avenue on the west side, with the vacant lot having been the home of the Near North Career Metropolitan High School. The development team is made up of the Chicago Housing Authority, Pennrose Properties, Hunt Companies, Imagine Group, and a Cabrini-Green resident group, with JGMA serving as the architect.
