A groundbreaking has been held for a new community center at 4000 S Archer Avenue in Brighton Park. Located just east of the intersection with S California Avenue, the center will replace a vacant lot near Kelly Edward Park. The center will serve as the new headquarters for the Brighton Park Neighborhood Network (BPNN), who is also building the facility which was designed by local architecture firm JGMA.

Bounded by W 48th Street to the north, the CTA Orange Line to the south, and S Rockwell Street to the west, the expansive multi-block site used to be vacant land after holding multiple manufacturing businesses before. Now the Park District will move its nearly 200 employees from its current offices at 541 N Fairbanks Court in Streeterville.
Construction permits have been issued for a new residential development located at 2840 W 36th Place in Brighton Park. The development is a proposed two-story, three-unit residence with a basement, front stairs, rear two-story porch/stairs, and a rear three-vehicle parking pad, according to the submitted plans. A & SL Construction Inc serving as both the owner and general contractor for the project.
