The first permit, for 4757 South Maplewood Avenue, came through on May 7, followed up on May 11 with the permit for 4759 South Maplewood. They are each to be three-story, three-unit buildings with three slab parking spaces at the alley accessed from 48th Street. Six-foot fences are the only other detail included.

The long-empty site, used intermittently as a parking lot, sits directly across the street from the Brighton Park Community Campus and the Chicago Park District headquarters. The Western Orange Line elevated platform is located at the southwest corner of the park, about a three-block walk away. CTA bus service is available within a two-block walk via Routes 47 and 94 to the north at West 47th Street and Routes 48, 49, and X49 to the east at South Western Avenue.
