Full Permit Issued for Wellness Center at 2933 W Division Street in Humboldt Park

A full building permit has been issued for a three-story wellness center at 2933 W Division Street in Humboldt Park, with Humboldt Park Health as its developer. The project kicked off this past January when the initial foundation permit was issued. As seen in most recent photos, extensive foundation work is already progressing rapidly. The new JGMA-designed structure will be replacing what was previously an empty lot and a two-flat building.

Epworth Church In Edgewater Moves Closer To Landmark Status

A final landmark recommendation has been made by the Commission on Chicago Landmarks for the Epworth Church at 5153 N Kenmore Avenue in Edgewater. Located south of the intersection with W Berwyn Avenue near Foster Beach, the structure’s landmark efforts were set off due to a demolition permit applied for last year by an undisclosed developer. Now the commission has recommended the approval of its landmark status to the church and adjoining community house.

Initial Details Revealed For Debated Washington Park Community Center

Initial details have been revealed for a new community center at 6020 S King Drive in Washington Park. Located on the intersection with E 60th Street on the southwest corner of Washington Park itself, the Sunshine Community Center will consume the majority of a vacant block with the exception of a structure at its southern end. The project is being developed by Sunshine Gospel Ministries who is working with Civic Projects Architecture and the Chicago Neighborhood Initiatives.

Building Permits Issued For Wellness Center In Humboldt Park

Initial building permits have been issued for the new wellness center at 2933 W Division Street in Humboldt Park. Located on the southwest corner with N Richmond Street, the project was proposed early last year and moved its way through the Plan Commission and City Council prior to securing the current foundation permits. Developer Humboldt Park Health will replace an empty lot and a single two-flat building with a new angular structure designed by local architecture firm JGMA.
