The owner of the permit is listed as 4123 S Wabash LLC, and current plans indicate this project will produce three total units. This will be a masonry build and will have open metal porches at the rear, as well as a six-foot-tall wooden fencing and three parking spots. The building will replace a vacant lot.

City Council Approves Rezoning for 5050 S Prairie Avenue in Grand Boulevard

The Chicago City Council has approved the rezoning bid for the upcoming development at 5050 S Prairie Avenue in Grand Boulevard. As previously reported, the site is located at the corner of S Prairie Avenue and E 51st Street, and the project is made up of multiple lots, both privately-owned lots and city-owned along 5036-5044 S Prairie Avenue. The development is led by KLY Development. This project will replace vacant land as well as an unused building near the intersection.

The owner is listed as Stephen Talty and plans indicate this project is a frame structure and will yield three total units and a detached three-car masonry garage. This developer has also received permits for 3924 S Calumet Avenue, and plans indicate this project will also result in three flats, each with its own rear open porch. The permits also include a detached three-car garage. The development will replace a vacant lot.
