A permit for interior renovations has been issued for 4710 S Wabash Ave in Grand Boulevard, allowing the addition of a new residential unit to the building’s existing basement. With this change, the structure will house four residential units.
Owner Christopher Montgomery is leading the project, with architectural design led by Prashanth Mahakali. Renew Chicago South LLC serves as the general contractor for the renovation.
The project is estimated to cost approximately $80,000, in addition to a total permit cost of $1,476. The property is located steps from stops for the 47 and 29 bus lines. Beyond that, the 47th CTA Station which services the Green Line is an 8 minute walk to the east from the property, and the 47th CTA Station which services the Red Line is a 9 minute walk to the west from the property.
