Zoning Approved for 2510 W George Street in Avondale

A zoning ordinance was approved last month for 2510 W George Street in Avondale, allowing the planned four-story residential building to proceed. Planned by Thomas Plunkett, the project will include four total units, a rooftop deck, a stairway/elevator enclosure, and an attached four-car garage. Currently, the property is occupied by a vacant lot. The now-approved ordinance requested a reduction of the required rear setback from 30 feet to zero feet.

Permits Issued for 3729 W Belmont Avenue in Avondale

Construction permits have been issued for a four-story mixed-use building at 3729 W Belmont Avenue located in Avondale. The filing shows the owner as SCH Construction, LLC, who is planning commercial space on the ground floor and 18 apartments above. Until 2013 the empty lot was occupied by a two-story masonry building, which has since been demolished.

Zoning has been approved for a mixed-use development located at 2901 N Milwaukee Avenue in Avondale. Located at the intersection of N Milwaukee Avenue and N Allen Avenue, the corner lot is currently occupied by a vacant masonry building. Tri Homes Today is the developer behind the project.

Developed Wilmot Construction Inc, the project will yield first-floor retail and six residential units. Plans also include a nine-car garage on the ground floor and a rooftop stair enclosure. Located at the corner of Avers & Milwaukee, the new structure will replace a single-story masonry commercial building.

Construction permits have been issued for a four-story residential building located at 2518 W Diversey Avenue in Avondale. Planned by Alverna Development, the new construction will house eight rental units. For parking, the structure will house four spaces in its basement and an additional four in two detached garages in the rear.

Construction permits have been issued for a four-story residential building at 2448 W Diversey Avenue in Avondale. The owner, filed under Padraig McGuire, is planning three units for the project. The project will also feature a basement, a front-facing deck on the fourth floor, a rear first-floor terrace, rear decks on the upper three floors, and a rooftop deck. As far as parking, the owner also plans a three-car detached garage with an additional rooftop deck.

The Zoning Board of Appeals has approved a zoning ordinance for a residential development at 2803 W Henderson Street in Avondale. Located on a corner lot at the intersection of W Henderson Street and N California Avenue. The nearest public transportation is the 94 CTA bus, a one-minute walk to the California & Roscoe stop. The Belmont CTA L station, serviced by the Blue Line, is an 18-minute walk from the site.
