Demo Permits Issued for 1118 & 1128 W Patterson Avenue in Wrigleyville
Demolition permits have been issued for two multi-unit residential buildings in the Wrigleyville neighborhood, less than a block west of Wrigley Field across from N Clark Street. The smaller of the two structures, 1128 W Patterson Avenue, is a two-story frame building, while the larger 1118 address also stretches two floors and borders 1128’s eastern elevation.
Construction Begins on 949 W Dakin Street in East Lakeview
Construction has begun on a seven-story mixed-use building at 949 W. Dakin Street in Chicago‘s East Lakeview neighborhood. Located across the street from the Sheridan Red Line station and two and a half blocks north of Wrigley Field, the transit-oriented development replaces a single-story structure. Current tenant Ace Hardware is expected to fill a portion of the 13,000 square feet of retail space that will be located on the lower level of the new edifice. The property and financial services firm Draper and Kramer is the developer of the 120-unit project.

The site is located just east of N Sheridan Road, with the lot sitting next to the CTA L tracks. A one-minute walk from the property across N Sheridan Road is the Sheridan CTA L station. The 151 CTA bus stops at the Sheridan Red Line stop as well. The site is also one block south of W Irving Park Road and a five-minute walk from Wrigley Field, four blocks to the south.
