1055 West Diversey Parkway permit issued

Construction permit for 2763 North Seminary Avenue signals the end of United Christian Church in Lincoln Park

A demolition permit is imminent for the former United Christian Church at 1055 West Diversey Parkway in Lincoln Park, as a new construction permit has been issued for the property. On September 4, the City of Chicago issued a permit allowing Contemporary Concepts to build their planned five-story, 24-unit residential development on the site. Crews were out the following day prepping the church for demolition.

Construction Finalizes for The Porter in Lincoln Park

Construction is wrapping up for a five-story mixed-use building, The Porter, situated at 2411 N Lincoln Avenue in Lincoln Park. The development, spearheaded by Mike Breheny of Contemporary Concepts Inc., involves 3,700 square feet of retail, a 1,700-square-foot covered patio, and 36 luxury rental apartments above. The privately-owned Julia Porter Park previously occupied the site.

Permit Issued for 3947 W Dakin Street in Irving Park

Approval has been granted for a construction permit for a residential development at 3947 W Dakin Street in Irving Park. The project, owned by Kiferbaum Development LLC, is set to replace a single-family house.

913 W School Street is Now Complete in Lake View

Since our update last fall, exterior construction has completed for a five-story residential structure located at 913 W School Street in Lake View. The Hageman Group‘s plans yielded a total of 22 apartments, including four studios, eight one-bedrooms, eight two-bedrooms, and two three-bedroom apartments.

City Selects Hub 32 As Winner Of East Garfield Park RFQ

Mayor Lori Lightfoot has announced the winner of the recent East Garfield Park Request For Qualifications (RFQ). The multi-site proposal is centered around the intersection of W Lake Street and N Kedzie Avenue, with this first phase replacing a 50-year-old vacant lot located at 132 N Kedzie Avenue. The city selected Hub 32 as the winning proposal led by the Michaels Organization, KMW Communities, and TruDelta Real Estate.

Final Proposals Revealed For DPD East Garfield Park RFQ

The Chicago Department of Planning and Development (DPD) has announced their three finalists for the East Garfield Park RFQ. Although the Request For Qualifications (RFQ) is made up of three sites, this first phase will focus on one site across the street from The Hatchery located at 3209 W Lake Street. Right on the intersection with N Kedzie Avenue, all proposals will defer the two remaining sites onto a future development phase.

Cladding installation has started on a five-story residential structure located at 913 W School Street in Lake View. The Hageman Group plans to have a total of 22 apartments, which will include four studios, eight one-bedrooms, eight two-bedrooms, and two three-bedroom apartments. Nearly half of the residences will have outdoor access, in which four of the units will have balconies and another six will have terraces.
