Approval has been granted for a construction permit for a residential development at 3947 W Dakin Street in Irving Park. The project, owned by Kiferbaum Development LLC, is set to replace a single-family house.
Studio Dwell, the listed architect of record, has submitted plans that include a full rooftop deck, two off-street parking spaces surfaced with 4″ thick asphaltic concrete, and fencing around the property. The front yard will be bordered by a 6′ high metal fence, while wooden fences of the same height will border the other sides. As of now, additional drawings or renderings could not be found.
The location provides close access to various means to public transportation, with CTA bus routes 53 and 54A within close walking distance. Both the Irving Park Blue Line and Metra stations are accessible within a five-minute walk.
Kiferbaum Development LLC is the general contractor for the project, with a reported construction cost of $500,000 per the filing. The targeted completion date for the project is yet to be announced.
