New Renderings Revealed For Soldier Field Revamp

Updated renderings and plans have been revealed for the redevelopment of Soldier Field in Museum Campus. Built in 1924, the famed structure is approaching its 100-year birthday on the cusp of another complete overhaul similar to the one it received in the early 2000s. The proposal has been in the works for a while now as the city tries to retain the Chicago Bears who are planning to move to Arlington Heights and create their own entertainment complex on the old racetrack grounds.

Many of the I-beam exterior pieces have now been installed along 1012 W Addison Street, a new three-story sportsbook betting addition to Wrigley Field in Lake View. The Chicago Cubs and Marquee Development are spearheading an extension to the iconic stadium oriented around sports betting, whose ban in the city was recently lifted. Plan Commission Approves Baseball Fields In Jackson Park

The Chicago Plan Commission has approved the construction and renovation of new baseball diamonds at 1987 E Hayes Drive within Jackson Park. Located towards the east side of the park across Wooded Island and near the Statue of the Republic, the project continues the vision of the park’s 2018 framework plan. Northwestern Reveals New Stadium Plans At 1505 Central Street In Evanston

Plans have been revealed for a new football stadium at 1505 Central Street in Evanston. Located on the intersection with Ashland Avenue, the new structure for Northwestern University will replace the existing venue within their sports complex which also features an indoor arena as well as a baseball diamond. The university is leading the development efforts with Kansas City-based architects HNTB serving as the designers, who have worked on similar facilities for Ohio State and University of Michigan.
