Eight residential units have been permitted for an empty lot at 4536 South Prairie Avenue in Bronzeville neighborhood of Grand Boulevard. The four-story masonry building will be complimented by a detached masonry four-car garage at the rear of the property, accessed from the alley off 46th Street. The permit was issued on April 16, just 37 days after its application was filed on March 10. It indicates a reported construction cost of $1.67 million.

Details have been revealed for a new residential development at 1948 W Peterson Avenue in West Ridge. With Caissons Done, Signs Of Verticality Appear At 629 West Lake In The West Loop

With caisson work having wrapped up already, crews have now begun construction at grade for the residential development at 629 West Lake Street in the West Loop. The permit to begin work, caissons and all, was issued to developer Fulton Market Suites LLC on December 9 of last year. Demolition of the site’s existing single-story restaurant building didn’t get started until January, but once it began, things moved along quickly, bringing us to the progress we saw last week.

The lot at Lake Street and Desplaines Avenue in the West Loop is ready for construction of a new residential development now that the Fast Track restaurant is gone. The single-story stalwart was permitted for demolition back in August of last year, but remained standing until January. Demo work was swift once it officially got started. Up next for the property is the eight-story, 49-unit apartment building at 629 West Lake Street from Fulton Market Suites LLC, with Chicago Common Partners handling general contractor duties.
