A demolition permit has been issued for a single-story commercial building at 1367 West Wilson Avenue in Uptown. Demo fencing was delivered to the site after the Happy Wash Laundromat closed, and sat in a stack until it was set up to close off the parking lot along Dover Street. It now appears a new residential development for the site is soon to get started.
A residential development at 4907 North Paulina Street in Uptown that got its construction permit in August of last year is now underway. The four-story, 32-unit building comes from developer Hayes Properties, with Moments Notices Services on general contractor duty.
Zoning variances have been approved by the Zoning Board of Appeals for the mixed-use development at 4006 N Sheridan Road in Buena Park. Located on the intersection with W Irving Park Road, most recently we covered the proposal last June when its developer Catapult Real Estate Solutions revealed the current design.
Permits have been issued for the upcoming Chicago Market within the former Uptown Station house at 4620 N Broadway in Uptown. Located on the intersection with W Wilson Avenue and under the Red Line tracks, the Co-Op has been in the making for nearly 10 years and will become the city’s largest upon opening.
The Chicago City Council has approved the mixed-use Free To BE Village development at 4427 N Clark Street in Uptown. Sitting on the corner with W Sunnyside Avenue, the project will replace a one-story building, vacant lot, and parking lot across the street from its developer the Black Ensemble Theater.
