The concrete basement is in place for a three-story plus basement, four-unit residential building at 1306 West Winona Street in the Uptown neighborhood. A permit was issued to begin construction on April 29. Two days later, a demolition permit was issued to tear down an existing residence on the property that dated back to the mid-1890s. An entity of 1306 Winona Corp, registered to this address, made the purchase and is named in the construction permit as the developer.

Construction on a five-story, 36-unit residential project at 4713 North Clark Street continues upward in Uptown. Developer and general contractor Platinum Homes received a building permit on January 6th of this year, and now their crew has reached the underside of the third floor. The construction site, on the northeast corner of Clark Street and Leland Avenue, formerly held a Byline Bank branch that was permitted for demolition in 2022 to allow redevelopment to begin.

Lots Of Glass, Brick, And Scaffolding As 5035 North Sheridan Construction Continues

Construction progress on the residential development at 5035 North Sheridan Road in Uptown now features lots of glass and brick on the exterior. Scaffolding along the structure’s Carmen Avenue façade is facilitating continued brickwork, as developer and general contractor DLG Management erects an eight-story plus basement, 77-unit apartment building here.

The anticipated construction of a new residential building at 1101 West Argyle Street in Uptown can begin forthwith, as a permit has been issued by the City of Chicago. Located on the southwest corner of Argyle and Winthrop Avenue, the five-story, 16-unit development takes the place of the old Hoa Nam grocery store, which was demolished two summers ago after receiving a demolition permit in July 2023.

Foundation work is underway for a pair of single-family residences taking the place of an 1890s building demolished in March. At 4846 and 4844 North Hermitage Avenue in Uptown, Amazing City LLC of Lake Zurich got permits on January 24 and January 30 respectively for the two-story homes. The two permits have identical specifications, and each indicates a reported construction cost of $1.034 million.

Pair Of Single-Family Homes Filling Former Church Parking Lot at 4442 and 4444 North Greenview Avenue In Uptown

Single-family residences at 4442 and 4444 North Greenview Avenue are topped out in the Uptown neighborhood. The two homes are being developed by Heritage Luxury Homes, who received a pair of construction permits 18 days apart back in November of last year. The construction site is a former surface parking lot used by the First Spanish Christian Church at Greenview and Sunnyside Avenues, which was itself demolished for a trio of single-family homes.

Pre-Cast Concrete Construction Has Begun At The TimeLine Theatre In Uptown

The first pre-cast concrete panels have been erected for the forthcoming TimeLine Theatre at 5035 North Broadway in Uptown. General Contractor Bulley Andrews began the installation work in mid-March at the front of the site. As progress proceeds, the newly-built portion will to connect to the five-story remainder of the former W. C. Reebie and Brother storage building.

4846 North Hermitage Avenue demolition permitted

Demolition Permit Issued For 1890s Building In Uptown Ahead Of SFR Construction

A pair of demolition permits were issued on March 7 for the property at 4846 North Hermitage Avenue in Uptown. The main permit will tear down a three-story brick residential building from the 1890s, while the second demo permit allows for the removal of a recently rebuilt four-vehicle detached garage. The buildings are being removed to make space of a single-family residence permitted for construction back in early February.
