A permit was approved on Friday for a new four-story mixed-use building to be located at 2354 West Farragut Avenue in the Lincoln Square neighborhood. The owner is listed as 5235-41 N Western LLC and plans indicate this project will feature first-floor retail space and 18 units spread across the second through fourth floors. The second through fourth floors will have outside decking and the building will have a rooftop deck. There will be 18 designated parking spaces for residents and 16 spaces for non-residents. The development will replace an existing parking lot.

Initial construction permits have been issued for the mixed-use development at 5159 N Lincoln Avenue in Lincoln Square. Located on the southeastern corner with W Foster Avenue, the new structure will replace a currently vacant lot that up until recently held multiple one-story commercial buildings which were home to local stalwart Jimmy’s Pizza Cafe. Developer Grand Properties Acquisitions LLC is working with Chicago-based Hanna Architects, who designed a very similar proposal just up the street at 5214 N Lincoln Avenue.

Funding Approved For Mixed-Use Development At 4715 N Western Avenue In Lincoln Square

The Community Development Commission has initially approved funding for the mixed-use development at 4715 N Western Avenue in Lincoln Square. Located on the intersection with W Leland Avenue, just south of W Lawrence Avenue, the lots currently serve as a city-owned surface parking lot whose sale is also included in the package. Developer The Community Builders, who operate other residential properties in the city, has partnered up with local architecture firm DesignBridge on the design of the new building across the street from the soon-to-be renovated DANK Haus.
