The Chicago Planning Commission has approved a new outpatient medical office building addition for the Swedish Hospital at 2826 W Foster Avenue in Lincoln Square. The Jensen & Halstead Architects-designed stand-alone building replaces a flat parking lot across the street from the existing hospital campus and hopes to serve the area’s nearly 41,000 residents.
Construction permits have been issued for a new five-story mixed-use building located at 4920 N Lincoln Avenue in Lincoln Square. The developer, Marta Landrosh Properties, plans for ground-level retail and 14 total condominium dwellings on the upper four floors. This new project is set to replace a former one-story masonry commercial building.
Foundation permits have been issued for a new five-story residential building located at Lincoln Square‘s 2208 W Lawrence Avenue. Developed by Zivkovic Family Holdings LLC, the issued permit covers the first of two near-identical buildings adjacent to one another. This first building will include 10 total units, with the overall development set to house 20 units. Parking for the approved first structure includes four parking spaces on a rear concrete pad, and an additional three spaces within the building itself.
Construction permits have been issued for a four-story apartment building at the site of Lincoln Square‘s 5042 N Western Avenue, which is currently occupied by a two-story frame residence.

With Sustainabuild LLC as the listed owner, the project will yield three total dwellings, along with a rooftop deck and stair enclosure, a basement, and a rear deck and staircase spanning all three levels. The development will also offer residents a detached three-car garage with a separate rooftop deck. The new construction is set to replace a two-story frame residential building.
