Demolition has begun for 4640 N Western Avenue in Lincoln Square

Last week, Precision Excavation began demolishing the two-story mixed-use brick building at 4634 N Western Avenue in Lincoln Square, clearing the way for a residential development to begin construction. The new project by the Macon Construction Group has been approved, though not yet permitted, and will see a new six-story building link to the existing four-story structure at 4642 N Western Avenue.

The Trieuth at Lincoln Square revives two stalled Lincoln Avenue apartment buildings

Two apartment buildings, at 5015 and 5019 N Lincoln Avenue in Lincoln Square, have come back to life after a long pause. Financial problems for the original developer stalled the projects after construction had begun on a pair of three-story, six-unit residential buildings, plus an additional foundation to the north of those. The site had become somewhat of a makeshift graffiti artists’ studio until developer Lynda Wu stepped into the picture.

Windows Nearly Complete at 4715 North Western Avenue in Lincoln Square

Window installation is nearing completion at 4715 North Western Avenue, a six-story residential development in Lincoln Square. The project, which replaces a surface parking across Leland Avenue from the CTA Western Brown Line elevated platform, will feature 63 affordable rental units and 5,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space. It is being developed by The Community Builders.
