1357 W Roosevelt Road Nearly Topped Out in Little Italy

Earlier this week, we covered 1257 W Roosevelt Road, a new residential building in Little Italy. This building is part of the broader Roosevelt Square Phase 3B, a collaboration between Related Midwest and the Chicago Housing Authority. Today’s article focuses on 1357 W Roosevelt Road, a similarly-designed structure located one block west and also part of this phase of the master plan. Having now reached the fifth floor in exterior construction, this six-story project will house 70 apartment units.

1257 W Roosevelt Reaches Full Height in Little Italy

Having reached its full height of six stories, the ongoing construction at 1257 W Roosevelt Road in Little Italy represents a collaborative effort between Related Midwest and the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA). This residential project forms part of the larger Roosevelt Square Phase 3B development, which features a variety of housing options, retail spaces, and the soon-to-open National Museum of Public Housing. The Roosevelt Square masterplan aims to offer a total of 2,441 housing units, including both multifamily and single-family structures.

Exterior Walls Continue Installation for 43Green Phase II in Bronzeville

Installation of the outer walls is progressing on the exterior of 43Green Phase II, a mixed-use development project in Bronzeville. The project recently reached a milestone by topping out at a height of 106 feet. Located at 4309 S Prairie Avenue, adjacent to the 43rd Street CTA station, the project follows the completed initial phase located on the other side of the tracks.

This phase, while preliminary, marks the resumption of construction activities on a site that lay dormant after the abandonment of the previously planned 2,000-foot Chicago Spire. This stage of 43Green, led by The Habitat Company and P3 Markets, will include 80 residential units atop 4,000 square feet of retail space on the ground level. Situated at 4309 S Prairie Avenue, this 10-story, mixed-use building is directly adjacent to the 43rd Street CTA station, with the now-completed first phase on the other side.

The Dylan Completes in Fulton Market

The Dylan, a 30-story mixed-use development at 160 North Morgan Street in Fulton Market, has completed construction and is now welcoming its first residents. The 350-foot high rise, a collaboration between Sterling Bay and Ascentris, offers a total of 282 rental apartments atop 2,657 square feet of ground-level retail.

YIMBY Tours The Row Fulton Market at 164 N Peoria Street

Last week, YIMBY had the chance to tour ‘The Row Fulton Market,’ located at 164 N Peoria Street. Standing 495 feet in height, this 43-story structure is among the tallest west of the Kennedy Expressway. Built by Related Midwest, ‘The Row’ represents an investment close to $200 million. It holds 300 residential units, with a noteworthy 20 percent designated as affordable housing. Also integrated into the design is a 146-vehicle garage.
